Crusaders Using 7 Filtration Process & Giving 100% Pure Air

Crusaders, an innovation led brand, has been in the market since the past two decades constantly innovating and providing the consumers with the next generation product categories.
Starting with Air conditioners in 1991 that saved electricity consumption to the new age telecom system of EPABX. Anti-Glare and Anti-radiation screens even while computers themselves were seeing growth to Digital interactive products, Crusaders has constantly strived to give the consumers a better way of living and participated in growing categories at a very nascent stage.
Around 2004-2005, Crusaders in its journey to offer a better environment for its consumers, launched the Air purifiers. And entered into OEM agreement with a AIR PURIFIER Factory in the year 2008. They do their own Research & after that have their partners Develop their Filtration and Motor Technology for the product that they launch in the Indian Market.
Mainly a B2B brand with maximum stake in government institutions, Crusader Air Purifiers promise to take care of all forms of air impurities, from Heavy Dust to Toxic Gases.
They are fast expanding into the retail consumer segment with presence on E-Commerce Sites and also aligning themselves with Traditional Consumer Retail Showrooms in market areas.
Their key strengths lay in a superior product, excellent after sales service, a personalized approach to selling and a range of products that suit all budget requirements.
In order to be the No.1 option for anyone looking for a complete air purifier solution in India, Crusaders has tried to analysis the various issues we face indoors. “Air Pollution level is very high in India so we are using 6-7 Physical Filters with 4 main Problems in the AIR:-
* DUST / PARTICLES
* MICROSCOPIC  PARTICLES / BACTERIA / VIRUS / DUSTMITES
* ODOUR / TOXINS / VOC
* LACK OF FRESHNESS / HEAVINESS IN THE AIR

In order to achieve this we use the following 7 Filter Process, Each filter has a specific role to play and ensures that the air you breathe is pure and fresh!!”
  1. Pre Filter
  2. Electro-static Plasma Filter
  3. Active Carbon Filter with Seive for Formaldehyde
  4. HEPA Filter (H13 grade)
  5. TiO2 (Photo-Catalyst) Filter
  6. LED UV
  7. Negative Ions

STAGE 1 – PRE FILTER
It’s a fine mesh, washable filter that filters out larger dust particles, small insects found in the air, pet dander and human hair.
STAGE 2 – ELECTROSTATIC PLASMA FILTER
This filter works by producing an electric charge, which is passed through the wires fitted into this filter. It generates electro-magnetic flux on the metal plate and helps attract pollutants like ash, carbon, light dust particles, pollen grains, allergens, dead skin flakes, dandruff etc. to stick onto the washable metal plate.
STAGE 3 – ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER (Live Charcoal)
This filter is made up of light charcoal granules. Here the property of charcoal known as ADSORBTION is used to absorb and neutralize the problem of smoke, odour, formaldehyde, ammonia etc.
STAGE 4 – HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter)
HEPA filters are composed of a mat of systematically arranged fiber, composed of fiberglass. HEPA filters, by definition, removes at least 99.97% of airborne particles of size 0.3 micrometers (μm) in diameter. HEPA filters are critical in the prevention of the spread of airborne bacterial and viral organisms and, therefore, infection.
STAGE 5 – TiO2 Filter or also known as Photo-Catalyst Filter
Photo-catalytic oxidation (PCO) is achieved when you combine UV light (Photo) rays with a TiO2 (Catalyst) coated filter. This process creates hydroxyl radicals and super-oxide ions, which are highly reactive electrons. These highly reactive electrons aggressively combine with other elements in the air and sterilizes bacteria and viruses caught by HEPA, VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), harmful pollutants such as formaldehyde, ammonia and many other common contaminates released by building materials and household cleaners generally found in the home.
Once bound together, the chemical reaction takes place between the super-charged ion and the pollutant, effectively “oxidizing” (or burning) the pollutant. This breaks the pollutant down into harmless carbon dioxide and water molecules, making the air more purified.
STAGE 6 – ULTRA VIOLET STERILIZATION (UV)
Built in broad-spectrum UV light (254nm), helps in activating the Photo-Catalyst Filter & also effectively sterilizes all kinds of bacteria, viruses and other flu with efficiency of >98.7%
STAGE 7 – NEGATIVE IONS
Negative ions are odorless, tasteless, and invisible molecules that we inhale in abundance in certain environments like mountains, waterfalls, and beaches. Negative ions help build our immunity and give us the feeling of freshness. We need around a 100,000 to 500,000 ions/cc, but get only 100 to 1000 ions/cc in a closed air-conditioned room. This gap is responsible for a lot of the ailments we build over a period of time.

Through our quality control system, we ensure compliance with international quality checks and environmental management standards. Passion for delivering with excellence has always motivated us to come up with high quality products to ensure satisfaction and the wellbeing of our customers. Company has attained CE, GS, UL, ETL, PSE certificates for over 20 of our products, including ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assessment Certificate.

Crusaders CF-100 Car Air Purifier Review

Living in Delhi, air pollution is an accepted fact and air purifiers are a way of life. If you’re out and about a lot though, there’s a good chance that you are getting exposed to much higher doses of pollutants than is healthy. The recent advent of Car Air Purifiers has had us intrigued so when Crusaders got in touch with us to check out the CF-100 Car Air Purifier, we jumped on the opportunity. Read on to find out what we think about the Crusaders CF-100 Car Air Purifier.
Specifications
  • Elementary Pre Filter
  • Active Carbon Filter
  • HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestor) Filter rated at 0.3 Microns
  • UV Lamp
  • Negative Ions.

From a design perspective, the CF-100 is pretty straightforward. About the height of a bottle of water, the air purifier has vent grilles on either side with another set towards the top from where it blows out clean air.

At it’s core, the CF-100 is just a miniaturised version of a full size air purifier. The grilles on either side can be removed to expose the filter stage. Starting from the elementary filter to the carbon filter that removes contaminants and impurities using chemical adsorption. Next up is the HEPA filter that can remove particulates as small as 0.3 microns.

This air is then routed up towards the upper went which also incorporates an ioniser to remove odour. Over the course of testing we observed that the Crusaders CF-100 was able to effectively remove odour and cleanse out a car in about 10 minutes of work. The CF-100 is rated for an area of about 60-70 square feet. What this means is that the air purifier will work fine within a car or a desk cubicle but is certainly not going to replace a full size home air purifier.
In terms of controls, the CF-100 is pretty spartan. A toggle switch lies along the bottom of the purifier which as the name suggests, turns it on or off. A cut away allows you to easily position a microUSB cable within that charges the built-in battery. There is pass through support here so you can simply run the purifier plugged in. The cut away comes in particularly handy if you plan to place it on your desk. Over on the front face you’ll observe three buttons. While the central power button simply indicates power status, the other two allow you to toggle the lights and adjust the air flow speed.

There’s not too much to be said about the Crusaders CF-100 air purifier considering it does its job just fine. The build quality while not fantastic, isn’t something you’ll complain about either. Similarly, as a desktop or car air purifier, it is reasonably fast and cleaning out your surroundings and delivers about 3-4 hours of autonomy as well on the built-in battery. The Crusaders CF-100 is priced at Rs. 5,000 and is definitely something you should consider if you drive a lot in a city like Delhi where air pollution is a genuine concern.
